Percentages of Congregations Increasing in Average Worship Attendance, 1998-1999

More large-membership congregations than small-membership congregations reported an increase in average worship attendance from 1998 to 1999. In fact, about one-half of congregations with more than 800 members reported an increase. In contrast, one-third of congregations with 150 members or less had an increase in average worship attendance.
