the Supplement to the Session Annual Statistical Report

Congregation Location

As can be seen in Figure 1, the largest group of respondents (34%) indicated that their congregations are located in small cities or towns (under 50,000 population). Another 30% of congregations are located in rural areas. Fewer are located in medium-size cities (50,000 to 250,000 population); in suburbs near medium-size cities; in large cities (population over 250,000); and in suburbs near large cities.
