Dear Alice, it sounds like you are doing really vital work in your local congregation for good water stewardship. Thank you for all these great efforts! I remember that Presbyterians for Earth Care (http://www.presbyearthcare.org/index.html) did a "stop bottled water" campaign in years past to encourage things similar to what you are already doing. I'd love to talk with you more about how this office might support your ministry at the local congregation and/or to help connect you to others as may be helpful. Feel free to contact me at 800-728-7228 ext 5624 or rebecca.barnes-davies@pcusa.org.

How are other churches dealing with the bottled water problem? We seem to feel we need to provide bottled water for our church events. When I do Fellowship hr I always put out a pitcher of ice water . I bought the DVD FLOW and have offered it to people to borrow and view at home. Our vacation bible study this summer is Water for All God's children. I led a 7-week bible study on the Green Church, set up a green church Face Books page and more. But the message is not getting through.

Scott, thanks for your comments. It is great to hear that Menucha is sending in a Green Leaf Seal application. I would be interested in having further discussions about how to engage green-conscious nonprofits that are looking for an eco-conscious retreat center.

Sweet. Going to download and apply right now. I see only 4 other sites are currently greenleaf sites. Now, how do we market to the green-conscious nonprofits looking for a retreat center to book?
