Information for Prospective Pastoral Resident Candidates
For Such a Time as This is a program through the PC(USA) Office of Vocation which seeks to pair small, healthy congregations without pastoral leadership with recent seminary graduates exploring a call to ministry in the small church. The pastoral resident will be called as a full-time Designated Pastor for a period of two years, during which time he/she would work with a Pastor/Mentor and other presbytery leaders to develop as a pastor and lead the congregation in growing “deep and wide”. Residents will be placed in regional clusters which will meet monthly for support and formation. Additional support, resources, and events will be provided by the PC(USA) to benefit the residents and their ministries.
