Hurricane Sandy left a trail of destruction in the Caribbean and the northeastern United States. There is significant damage from the superstorm’s winds and flooding. At least 8 million people in 17 states lost power.
The road to recovery has just begun. Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) is committed to walk with our partners through the immediate-relief and long-term-recovery phases of the response. One Great Hour of Sharing funds have been sent, and members of the National Response Team have already been deployed to help mid councils in their response efforts.
