The Office of the General Assembly has released the 2009 statistics of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). The statistical material includes a comparative summary of the membership, a summary of receipts and expenditures for the past four years, and additional miscellaneous information.
As of 2009, the total membership of the PC(USA) is 2,077,138, which reflects a roughly 3% decrease, or 63,027 members, from the previous year.
The Reverend Gradye Parsons, Stated Clerk of the General Assembly, said the latest statistics contain both good news and bad.

2010 Clerk’s Annual Questionnaire

The Research Services office annually develops and distributes a questionnaire that goes to the clerks of session of all PC(USA) congregations at about the same time the Session Annual Statistical Report is distributed. Research Services staff work with other entities of the PC(USA) to develop questions for inclusion on the Clerk’s Annual Questionnaire. Distribution of this form takes place at the end of the year. This report describes findings from responses for the year ending December 31, 2010.
