2012 Minute for Mission: Peace & Civility
The year was 2008 and America had just elected the nation’s first African American president. The political conversation was focused on healthcare reform, a very polarizing topic across the country. Politicians on both sides of the aisle had very strong opinions about the issue, and those opinions were not always expressed in the most civil tones.
