Doug serves as delegations coordinator with the Council of Evangelical Church of Nicaragua (CEPAD). The organization works in small, very poor rural communities. One Nicaraguan told Doug, “There are other groups that come and give us more than CEPAD does, but there is no other group that has taught us to do more for ourselves than CEPAD.” Doug develops programs for mission teams that go to Nicaragua to learn, form and work with Nicaraguans. He says he finds great joy in accompanying that journey and helping other North Americans learn how strong, smart and capable the Nicaraguan people are.
