PW honorary life membership form
An Honorary Life Membership in Presbyterian Women honors an individual’s faithful service in some area of church work. Men, women, moderators, leaders, teachers, officers, pastors, missionaries and staff have received this honor.
The church group conferring this honor is asked to send an honorary life membership form with a check (payable to Treasurer of Presbyterian Women) to the treasurer of Presbyterian Women in their presbytery.
If you have questions about Honorary Life Memberships, please contact Nancy McWhorter.

Hi Mary! You can honor a couple with the same (one) certificate and a pin. It's been done before for married couples. Please contact Nancy McWhorter for more details at nancy.mcwhorter@pcusa.org. Thank you!

We would like to honor a couple in our church with one award. We know that there would be just one pin, but is it OK to have two names on one certificate? We want to honor another woman also, and we can't afford three awards, but having the couple, who have worked together on so many projects, receive a joint award, seems like a good solution to us.

Thank you for the answer to my question, but it was not for the benefit of my church, but another. As PW moderator of my presbytery, the question came to me from another woman. I was glad to be able to give her an answer, and she appreciated it, too.

Hi Delores, Thank you for your question. The PW Honorary Life Membership is a wonderful way to honor someone (male or female) who has left a legacy in your church. To answer your question, es, the PW Honorary Life Membership can be given posthumously. The certificate and wording remain the same. Thanks for asking!

Question - I have been asked if a lifetime membership can be given posthumously, as the person is deceased, but left a legacy in the church. If the answer is 'yes', would there be a different certificate or the wording different with the name? thanks -

Hi Vicki. Thank you for inquiring about PW's Honorary Life Program! The Honorary Life Membership fee was increased for the first time in 20 years from $70 to $95 beginning in January 2008. The pins at the $95 (regular) level are still pewter, and a $250 (gold) level was added at that time. The gold pins are for those who want to honor someone who has received an Honorary Life Membership in the past. If you have any further questions, please contact Nancy McWhorter at nancy.mcwhorter@pcusa.org. Thanks!

I had a request for PW Honorary Life Membership pin costing less than $95. She said that the last time they gave an HLM the pin was pewter & considerably less money. What do I tell her?
