PW Reading Challenge

According to Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, one acceptable definition for the word challenge is “a stimulating task or problem.” This month’s puzzler challenges us to stretch a bit in our reading for this new year, a “stimulating task,” indeed!

  1. The ability to read is one of God's greatest blessings! What a pleasure I get when I get back in bed with a cup of tea or coffee on a morning that has nothing pending and delve into the current book on my end table. Google "Women of the Reformation" and see what books are available to read up on the women who were invaluable to the Reformation. We're coming upon the 500th anniversary of this celebration with Reformation Sunday in October. Oh yes, there were women involved in this momentous event!!

  2. I agree that committing to Reading whether the Bible, a Novel, Magazine, or just the daily new paper sometimes can be distracting. But Nevertheless, what positive way to start the year with a Challenge to READ, and discuss as we go thru our individual Journey's I have quite a library and need to just pick up a book and not just start it, but press in to the challenge of reading it from cover - to- cover. Thank you PW, for this reminder & Challenge, on this first day of Lent.. I want to commit to more reading of his Word and other materials that feed the human soul and spirit. Peace of the Lord be with us thru this Lenten seasons.
