I didn't find any hymns listed from Sing the Faith. I haven't done all the review, but a few do emerge as helpful - #2181, #2182, #2183

I find the Revised Common Lectionary passages for Sept 11 to cover most of the concerns of the day... Exodus 14:19-31, Exodus 15:1b-11, 20-21, Genesis 50:15-21, Romans 14:1-12, and finally... Matthew 18:21-35 18:21 Then Peter came and said to him, "Lord, if another member of the church sins against me, how often should I forgive? As many as seven times?" 18:22 Jesus said to him, "Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times.

I find it very interesting that the quite extensive list of scripture suggestions does not include "love your enemies." Too controversial for us Presbyterians?

Glad to see you included "Lord Christ, When First You Came to Earth" as one of the hymns. I worshiped at the First Presbyterian Church in the City of New York during Advent following 9/11 and they sang this hymn. The emotions running through the congregation were electric due, in part, to the words in the second and fourth verses, particularly.

I was able to open it on a Mac using Adobe Reader 7 and 9. HOWEVER, there is something in the encoding that makes it impossible to select and copy any of the text.

Our children's sermon volunteer would love some suggestions for ways to take the children's sermon this day. I saw the education piece also on the website and have directed him there for some help. Are there other resources that I haven't found yet that might be good for children's sermons?
