The Shock of Tropical Storm Sendong
The morning of December 17, was to be like any other morning in and around Dumaguete City, families preparing for the celebration of Christmas just eight days away. Reports of a tropical storm named Sendong were heard over the radio but because it did not carry the fearful word “typhoon”, most did not anticipate it would change the life of this region so tragically.
