Find support for your ministry and mission
The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and our ecumenical partners provide ministry support for congregations through the PC(USA) Resource Center Connection. These centers, located in presbytery offices, on seminary and college campuses and at independent locations across the country, have knowledgeable staff and volunteers.
Many presbyteries also appoint additional educational consultants to assist congregations through the Presbyterians Organized in Nurture and Teaching (POINT) network. All of these individuals are eager to help you evaluate your ministry and select resources to meet your goals. Many of the resources they recommend are available at the resource center for preview or to borrow.
Resource Center Subscriptions Available
Resource centers in the network are eligible to participate in two subscription services that help presbyteries and organizations build their collections of curricula, books and educational materials: the Resource Center Subscription (RCS) through Congregational Ministries Publishing (CMP) and Presbyterian Publishing Corporation (PPC) Twelve Titles a Year program. Each subscription service offers a cost-effective way to receive current resources. Each subscription service is unique and materials are not duplicated.
The CMP Resource Center Subscription (RCS) is administered with the assistance of the Presbyterian Distribution Services (PDS) standing order system. The RCS provides four shipments per year that include all new products from CMP, an ideas! magazine, ministry materials offered through the General Assembly Mission Council, subscriptions to Horizons and Presbyterians Today (mailed separately), and additional resources purchased from a variety of sources. Supplemental resources may include a WJK book that is not part of the PPC Twelve Titles a Year subscription or resources from other publishers.
2009 Resource Center Subscriptions are available at a prorated fee. Contact PDS at (800) 524-2612 for the 2009 fee balance and complete the subscription form, returning per instructions, to receive the next shipment. Current subscribers will receive the 2010 RCS renewal information in December 2009. Nonsubscribers will be invited to purchase a 2010 subscription. If you have any questions about the RCS, contact Candace C. Hill.
