Invitations to the Offering

All of these Invitations to the Offering may be spoken from the table.

God gives bread to strengthen us,
oil to make the face shine,
and wine to gladden the heart.
In gladness, let us offer our gifts to the Lord. (Psalm 104)

Those who are generous are blessed,
for they share their bread with the poor.
Let us give generously,
sharing the abundance of God’s blessing. (Proverbs 22)

Like the first Christians, let us devote ourselves
to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship,
the breaking of bread and the prayers,
sharing our faith and our goods in common
and giving generously to those in need. (Acts 2)
