Roma families were being evicted from substandard housing where they had been squatting for 15 years. The families decided to build their own housing as a solution to deplorable housing. This project will provide a safe living space. (2005)

Gypsies living in this region are discriminated against and have difficulty finding and maintaining jobs. Some Gypsy families came together to buy a plot of land and farming equipment to grow vegetables. They also decided to make two wells for the village so everyone could have access to water for their needs. Having a plot of land on which to grow vegetables will be very helpful in meeting their families’ needs. (2005)
