Wallet Card
The SDOP wallet card is the same size as a standard business card when folded, but unfolds to reveal the basic information about SDOP needed by prospective applicants for a grant. Presbyterians are encouraged to carry one of the cards in their wallet or purse, and to give it to economically poor persons when the opportunity presents itself. |

Self-Development of People: Sermons and Liturgy is a thematic collection of sermons and liturgical materials celebrating the ministry of the Presbyterian Committee on the Self-Development of People. It is intended, first of all, to provide pastors with materials to help them in their preparation for worship services emphasizing SDOP, especially on SDOP Sunday, celebrated annually during the Lenten season. This booklet also informs the general reader about the Biblical and theological foundations of the SDOP program. |

This colorful new resource includes basic information and Frequently Asked Questions about Self-Development of People. Frequently Asked Questions included in this twelve-paged 5.5 x 8.5" booklet include questions on the application process; applying for funding at the local or national level; examples and pictures of types of established partnerships with low-income community groups and tips on completing an application. Written in a simple to understand format, persons from communities unfamiliar with SDOP as well as those familiar with SDOP will find this booklet useful for a variety of settings. |

Make a Difference
These 5 ½ x 8 ½” booklets contain stories of
Self-Development of People partner projects. Poor people
have taught us there is hope — that people working
together can and do gain control of their lives, and that
it is possible to change social structures that keep people
poor. Hundreds of people who have entered into partnerships
with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) through Self-Development
of People ministry have gained a voice in participating in
the decisions that impact their lives. Presbyterians who
have participated in giving to the One Great Hour of Sharing
Offering have played a significant part in these stories.
