St. Malo Retreat Center
The retreat is located in the mountains of Colorado near Estes Park, Colorado, and near the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park.
Accommodations
Accommodations for all academies will be simple but comfortable single rooms, with all meals and snacks provided. Upon admission acceptance, please let us know if you have special dietary needs.
Because preaching requires deep spiritual pondering, as well as serious intellectual inquiry, accommodations are in places that that will enable time and space for reflection as well as recreation in the beautiful surrounding areas. Preaching is hard work, and we want to model hospitality that is at the center of the missional rhythm: We come to Christ in Sabbath adoration where we receive welcome rest and nurture, and then we go out to do the work our Lord has given us to do. The academy meetings are designed as retreats where we can learn and rest in the Lord.
Transportation
You will have a generous transportation budget with which you will control making your own arrangements to and from the retreat center. The Office of Theology and Worship will work with you in order to ensure the best dispersal of funds for your needs while remaining faithful stewards.
