Coaching Skills Training for Presbytery Teams
November 17-19, 2008, Valley Forge, Pennsylvania
The Office of Church Growth is offering a three-day session on coaching skills for Congregational Transformation Presbytery Teams. Each team should consist of at least two to four people. The training will be November 17-19 at the National Christian Conference Center, in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania.
The cost of the training is:
Private room and meals $430
Double occupancy room and meals $325

Objectives
Introduce participants to coaching skills and give them an opportunity to practice these skills using case studies and examples from their congregations and presbyteries. The emphasis is both theoretical and practical. Ministry teams will work together to focus on issues from their settings.
Participants will learn about:
- Developing leadership through coaching
- Using coaching to uncover and nurture spiritual energy
- Building a ministry plan using coaching frameworks
- Different coaching roles for different outcomes
- Models for change and transformation

Trainer
The Rev. Dr. Laurie J. Ferguson is a coach, a consultant and a psychologist. She served as a parish pastor for more than 20 years before returning to school and getting her doctorate in psychology.
