Around the World in 5 Days: Living As Forgiven Children of God

Vacation Bible School looks at the wonderful world of Presbyterian mission.

VBS 2005, Around the World in 5 Days: Living As Forgiven Children of God, is the second offering in a three-year series that explores mission with the help of Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) mission workers. Participants make an imaginary trip to five different countries and learn a little about what it might be like to live in each one.

Traveling by train, children ages four through 10 learn how to say "hello" and "Jesus Loves Me" in the languages of Taiwan, Northern Ireland, Brazil, Zimbabwe and Nepal.

They play games, create crafts, and taste foods common to the lands. Letters written by mission workers and Bible stories teach them why and how to Live As Forgiven Children of God.

Living As Forgiven Children of God includes a CD of music carefully chosen and recorded by Ken and Mary Jane Cooper and the Choristers of First Presbyterian Church, Dallas, Texas. The music was chosen to coordinate with the countries visited.
