Washington Office can help you understand proposed legislation affecting how
we live together in God's world and how to bring the heart of the gospel to the
heart of the nation's capital. In addition, Washington Office staff can assist
your congregation in its public policy ministry in other ways, including:
The Washington
Office offers assistance to Presbyterians who wish to visit their Members of
Congress in Washington. A special program of issue briefings
and congressional visits is offered to groups of Presbyterians on the second
Tuesday of each month.
The
Washington Office started its Visiting Associate Program in 1986, under which
a qualified applicant (who may wish to do sabbatical or study leave) is invited
to work with the permanent staff in addressing public policy issues.
Washington Office Associates
offer assistance to Presbyterians who wish to call on their Members of Congress

can connect with the Washington Office issue specialists through telephone conferencing.
