- Play two games that may have been played by children during the time of Jesus.
- Explore the Bible story.
- Identify ways that they can do God’s work by offering small things.
The Games and Puzzles Workshop explores John 6:1–14 by having children play biblically related games or puzzles. Objectives of the workshop:
The children will have the opportunity to:
- Hear the story of Jesus feeding a multitude of people.
- Learn about hunger in the United States and worldwide.
- Learn about the Presbyterian Hunger Program, a ministry of the PC(USA).
- Consider ways they can help feed hungry people.
The Music and Worship Workshop explores John 6:1–14 through music and makes the connection to worship in PC(USA) congregations. Objectives of the workshop:

- Plan and participate in a worship service.
The Bonus: Cooking Workshop explores John 6:1–14 by having children prepare a food item. Objectives of the workshop:

- Participate in a simulation activity that demonstrates what it is like to have more than they need and what it is like to have less than they need.
- Hear and discuss John 6:1–14
- Prepare jars of Super Soup (dried soup mix) to sell to raise funds for a hunger ministry.
