New We Believe Curriculum for Youth
How did we create the new youth curriculum for We Believe? We went to the source: We asked young people to share their faith questions with us!
Step 1: Get Questions
We asked young people around the denomination to send us their questions about the triune God, the Bible, the church and other related topics. Hundreds of questions poured in.
Step 2: Get Organized
We organized the young people’s questions into a scope and sequence for each age level and created biblically based session formats that would encourage young people to explore each question.
Step 3: Get Help
We invited youth workers around the denomination to submit applications to write for our new curriculum. After a competitive search, we selected six writers. Next, we hired ministry consultants in the areas of recreation; movies and media; spiritual arts; technology; songs and music; spirituality and mission, peace and justice to help our writers. Finally, we recruited an advisory team for each age level who will use the curriculum and offer ongoing feedback to the writers and consultants.
Step 4: Get Going
After many hours of praying, dreaming, listening and writing, we are ready to share the new We Believe youth curriculum with you!
