The children will have the opportunity to:

- Discuss the Bible story.
- Talk about what it means to show gratitude.
- Think about those people or situations for which they are thankful.
- Create postcards and/or a gratitude quotation.
The Audiovisual Workshop explores Luke 17:11–19 through audiovisual media that is heard, viewed, or made. Objectives of the workshop:
The children will have the opportunity to:
- Hear the Bible story and reflect on it.
- Learn that Jesus was pleased to hear thanks for what he did.
- Express thanks to God and record their thanks with a video recorder to play back and watch during the workshop.
- Write about or draw things or people for which they are thankful.
The Computer Workshop explores Luke 17:11–19 using computers. Sometimes computers are used to tell the story and sometimes they are used to respond to it. Objectives of the workshop:
The children will have the opportunity to:
- Use Kid Pix Studio Deluxe, 3rd Edition, to illustrate scenes from the story of one saying thank you to Jesus.
- Use desktop publishing software to create thank-you cards.
- Say thank you to God for a personal blessing.
The Drama/Storytelling Workshop explores Luke 17:11–19 by retelling the story in ways that help children remember it. Objectives of the workshop:
The children will have the opportunity to:
- Identify something that makes them special.
- Hear the story from Luke 17.
- Make paper-plate puppets and reenact the story of Jesus’ healing the people who had leprosy.
The Games and Puzzles Workshop explores Luke 17:11–19 by having children play biblically related games or puzzles. Objectives of the workshop:
The children will have the opportunity to:
- Hear a story of Jesus curing the sick people.
- Understand more about leprosy.
- Consider the importance of gratitude to God.
- Learn a jump rope rhyme and jump rope to the rhyme.
The Music and Worship Workshop explores Luke 17:11–19 through music and makes the connection to worship in PC(USA) congregations. Objectives of the workshop:
The children will have the opportunity to:
- Hear the story from Luke 17.
- Practice looking up hymns in the topical index of The Presbyterian Hymnal.
- Write a prayer of thanksgiving.
- Sing a hymn of thanksgiving.
The Bonus: Spiritual Practices Workshop explores Luke 17:11–19 with activities that help children experience different ways to give thanks to God. Objectives of the workshop:

- Hear the story Bagels from Benny by Aubrey Davis.
- Hear the Bible story in which one says, “Thank you!” to Jesus.
- Practice gratitude with their actions, bodies, and voices.
- Make an accordion-folded gratitude booklet.
- Make a beeswax candle.
