The 2003 Women of Faith recipients remind us that God works through people in different ways. These women prove that the relationship between Christian faith and work can take many forms—a deep faith expressing itself through the fruits of labor, a conscious decision to pursue a career as a way to live out faith in the world, relying on God daily for guidance in decisions and actions.

The recipients are women who live out their Christian vocation as government workers, civil servants, elected officials, diplomats, public policy advocates, United Nations employees, serving on government boards, developing theologies of civic life, ethicists, military chaplains or pastors who work on public policy. They are the second set of recipients in a three-year cycle with the theme "Women at Work in God's Realm."

The three women who are honored are women of extraordinary achievement and Christian faith. Each one is conscious of the importance of the decisions she makes since the outcomes will affect many people's lives. Each woman strives to maintain the highest professional standards in her respective field.

The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) is blessed to worship with these three women and the numerous other outstanding women who apply Christian faith in their everyday lives. May God continue to bless each of their ministries.

Everywoman

At the recent Women of Faith Breakfast the premier performance of Everywoman was presented. Donna Blackstock is the literary creator of this version of the history of women in the church. A delightful staging of a difficult and sometimes painful adventure in living. Women continue to face the challenges and raise the questions needed to bring about justice. Donna has graciously offered us the play and is making it available to you for use with women across the church.
