Egypt
Egypt's Christian tradition reaches back to the apostolic era, although most Egyptians are Muslim. Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) involvement in Egypt is mainly through the country's Reformed churches, but we also work in a variety of ways with the direct inheritor of Egypt's ancient Christian tradition, the Coptic Orthodox Church.
The PC(USA) celebrates a century and a half of ministry in Egypt . We work in this Middle Eastern country through mission personnel, Young Adult Volunteers and our partner church relationships. The PC(USA) joins Egypt's Christian community in a holistic approach to ministry that includes new church development, publishing, education, health ministries, hunger response and interfaith work. |
