Missionary work
begun in 1902 with the foundation of a Bible school and vocational
school center led to the formation of The Giffen Bible School in
1963. Although the school was closed down during wartime in Sudan
for 17 years, it was reopened in 1973 after the fighting ceased.
Profile:
There are approximately
62 students attending Giffen Bible School. There are 16 part-time
teachers.
Mission:
The purpose of
the school is to prepare students as pastors and evangelists to
meet the needs of congregations in rural, as well as urban, areas.
