History: |
The Presbyterian
Education Board (PEB), previously known as the United Presbyterian
Education Board, has been managing Presbyterian schools for over
half a century. In 1972, the government under Martial Law Regulation
118 nationalized all Urdu medium schools and colleges in Punjab.
With passage of time, the quality of education imparted in the nationalized
schools deteriorated. In 1998, through the efforts of the Presbyterian
Church (U.S.A.), the Presbyterian Education Board received back
from the government 10 of its schools nationalized in 1972. |
