Hunger

In 2008 the Presbyterian Hunger Program made the following grants:

Joining Hands Lesotho — Kopano ke Matla Toants’ong ea Bofuma — $45,000
Education and advocacy campaign in Lesotho focused on food sovereignty and access to jobs.

Kopano ke Matla Toants’ong ea Bofuma (for 2009 work) — $17,500
Creating Awareness About the Dangers of GMO’s Through Community Education
The campaign educates the public about GMO’s while promoting indigenous seeds and discouraging the use of GMO’s and trains farmers on seed making, multiplication and preservation as well as manure preparations.
