In 2007 the Presbyterian Hunger Program made the following grants:

Council of Churches in Sierra Leone Small Community Based Food Security, Capacity Building and Micro-credit  $20,000
Joint program of small-scale food production activities in collaboration with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.

Food Security Program  $15,000
Small project fund to support micro enterprise and small scale farming initiatives. (CWS)

West Africa Integrated Training Initiative $50,000
Training and small community development activities aimed at alleviating hunger supported by Presbyterian Hunger Program, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance and Self-Development of People. (Agricultural Missions, Inc.)

Self-Development

     
             
 

A joint project with Agricultural Missions, Presbyterian Hunger Program, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance and Self-Development of People   $50,000
Funds to assist sustainable community development projects in Liberia and Sierra Leone. Both countries have experienced civil war over two decades and as a result experienced tremendous destruction and trauma. Agricultural Missions Inc. will provide training to local community groups in the areas of sustainable agriculture, micro-credit and micro-enterprise development, financial management and advocacy.
