Extra Commitment Opportunities

There is a channel through which gifts can be designated for specific items that support the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)'s work around the world. These are called Extra Commitment Opportunities (ECOs). You can give directly to an ECO account online or by mailing your check designating the name and account number of the particular item you have chosen to:

PC(USA) Individual Remittance Processing
P.O. Box 643700
Pittsburgh, PA 15264-3700

Your gift will go directly into the ECO Account designated, and you will receive a letter indicating that your gift has been received and will be used for the purpose intended.

Below are several Extra Commitment Opportunities related to Spain. For a listing of giving opportunities in other European countries visit Mission Funding's Web site and type Europe or other specific countries into the search box.

Education

United Evangelical Theological Seminary (SEUT)

This project helps the seminary of the small — but growing — Protestant church in Spain. The two priorities of the seminary are faculty development and leadership formation, which is essential for the present and future of Protestant churches in Spain.

  E051802   Goal: $25,000

University Student Residence "Constantino Ponce De La Fuente"

This project will provide living quarters for theological and university students. The residence is fundamental for the foreseeable transformation of the United Evangelical Theological Seminary into a Protestant University School of Theology. The present moment calls for the promotion of initiatives that may have an impact on the formal training of future generations of church leaders. There are a growing number of Protestant students from Spain, Latin America and Africa. Significantly, the project bears the name of one of the great 16th-century Spanish Reformers. The project is key to the renewal and growth of the Protestant church in Spain.
