Self-Development

In 2005 the PC(USA) Self-Development of People program made a grant to this project:

Gypsy Community in Rusky Komorovci ($8,000)
Gypsies living in this region are discriminated against and have difficulty finding and maintaining jobs. Some Gypsy families came together to buy a plot of land and farming equipment to grow vegetables. They also decided to make two wells for the village so everyone could have access to water for their needs. Having a plot of land to grow vegetables will be very helpful in meeting their families’ needs.
