How do I apply?

Follow these steps to apply as a Young Adult Volunteer:

• Begin your walk through One Door by creating a profile.
• While in One Door click on “search” and select the region in which you wish to serve.
• Under “Choose Position Categories” select “Young Adult Opportunities.”
• Click on “See positions.”
• Under the “position” title, click on the name of the opportunity — “Young Adult Volunteer (S.E. Alaska 2008-2009)” for example — to see a detailed description.
• If you wish to apply for this position, click the box for the position under “Apply.” Go to the bottom of the page and click on the “Apply now” button.
• Complete a personal profile form.
• Complete a supplemental personal profile form.
• Complete a sexual misconduct policy form.
• Complete a Worshiping Community Endorsement Form (Both national and international applicants for the YAV Program must fill this form.)
• Download and have someone fill out each of these reference forms:
• Pastoral form
• Personal form
• Professional form
• The people you give these forms to need to mail them to the address listed.
• Your application is considered complete when all of these pieces have arrived.
• The YAV Office will contact you to arrange interviews.
