  PC(USA) and Presbyterian Scouters

An article in The Presbyterian Layman, "PCUSA is dissociating itself from Presbyterian Scouters," has appeared on the web and has been brought to the attention of staff in the denominational Office of Youth Ministries. The article implies that national staff are not in support of scouting because a decision was made not to approve a grant of $7,000 to the National Association of Presbyterian Scouters to help fund a CD-ROM to be distributed at the Boy Scout 2001 Jamboree.
