Why Are We Losing Our Kids?

“Our kids are smart. They picked up on the message we unwittingly taught. If church is simply a place to learn life-application principals to achieve a better life in community… you don’t need a crucified Jesus for that.” --from website Marc5Solas

To piggyback on Charles Wiley’s last post, here’s a pertinent article on why the evangelical church is losing its young in alarming numbers.  Even though more analysis is needed regarding the gospel that is being preached and taught, and although not all Presbyterians consider themselves evangelical,  it’s worth your time to read “The Top Ten Reasons Why Our Kids Leave the Church” and the discussion it's generated.  Pass it on to church leaders who think the next best shiny new program or event is gonna keep our kids because it won’t.  Only Christ can do that.
