A Center Dedicated to Helping Children Grow and Thrive

In the quiet lakeside town of Sevan, in Armenia’s Gegharkunik region, a remarkable transformation is taking place.

At the Sevan Children’s Rehabilitation Center, children with disabilities and developmental disorders are learning to speak, walk, and connect—often for the first time. Through the faithful work of the Jinishian Memorial Program and the generosity of caring donors, these children and their families are finding healing, dignity, and hope.

Our Mission

Established in 2019, the center exists to improve the quality of life for children with disabilities and developmental delays while supporting their families through education, vocational training, and community inclusion.

Serving 250 children from Sevan and 10 surrounding villages, the center provides:

  • Therapeutic rehabilitation for children with conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome, and speech or motor delays
  • Educational and social adaptation programs
  • Training for parents—especially mothers—to develop skills and create income
  • Professional training for local therapists and educators

Stories of Courage

Each child at the center has a story of perseverance and hope.

  • Davit, age 5, diagnosed with a psycho-speech developmental delay, now engages more confidently and is learning to communicate.
  • Anais, age 8, living with autism, has learned to follow instructions and connect with others.
  • Leo, age 4, with hearing loss and motor delays, has begun to understand speech and respond with joy.
  • Angelina, age 4, with Down syndrome, now follows complex instructions and expresses herself more clearly.
  • Maria, age 6, who has cerebral palsy, is learning to describe pictures and tell short stories.

These are just a few of the children currently receiving care, each taking meaningful steps forward with the help of dedicated specialists—and the generosity of friends like you.

Why Your Support Matters

Families in Sevan often face financial hardship and limited access to specialized healthcare.

Your contribution ensures that children receive consistent, compassionate care and that families gain the tools to support their children at home.

Your gift sustains:

  • Daily therapy sessions
  • Educational programs and learning materials
  • Parent training and family counseling
  • Outreach to identify and support additional children in need

How You Can Help

Your generosity directly transforms lives. A gift of $250 annually is especially powerful, providing vocational training for a parent and supporting a child’s long-term development. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference.

You may choose to make a one-time donation or become a monthly supporter. Every gift, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated.

Contribute to Jinishian Memorial Program

JMP enables Armenians in need, especially genocide survivors and their descendants, to move from poverty and despair to self-sufficiency and hope--through relief, development and spiritual uplift.
