The Presbyterian News Service Web site will be inactive July 3-11 during the 219th General Assembly in Minneapolis so that PNS staffers Jerry Van Marter and Bethany Furkin can serve in the General Assembly Communications Center.
All General Assembly news will be available at the GA 219 website. The site will include photo galleries and streaming video as well as news stories and other information about the Assembly.
Daily summaries of Assembly activities will again be available on VoiceLine, the toll-free telephone information service of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). The PNS-produced three-minute daily summaries will be available each day, beginning July 3, after 6:00 pm., Central Daylight Time, by calling (800) 872-3283.
PNS will also produce, in cooperation with the Office of the General Assembly, the bulletin insert-sized Assembly In Brief — a 16-page summary of the Assembly in words and pictures. To order Assembly In Brief, available the week after the Assembly adjourns July 10, call Presbyterian Distribution Service at (800) 524-2612 and ask for product # OGA-10-030. Price is $8 for a bundle of 25.
PNS will return to active service Monday, July 12.
