End violence against women and girls

In response to an invitation to tell the world why they believe in a future free from violence against women and girls for Orange Day, July 25, to make a short video focusing on their vision for a world without violence against women and girls. The United Nations Secretary-General’s Campaign UNiTE to End Violence against Women has proclaimed the 25th of each month as : a day to raise awareness and take action against violence against women and girls.

International Youth Day

On December 17, 1999, the United Nations General Assembly endorsed the recommendation made by the World Conference of Ministers Responsible for Youth suggesting that August 12th be declared International Youth Day.

The United Nations is in the process of preparing its 2013 World Youth Report (WYR) on Youth Migration and Development. The Report will offer a multidimensional account and/or perspective of the life experiences of young migrants and young people affected by migration.
