An exciting opportunity for those wo care about children
Those of us who care about children understand that ministering with and for children cannot be separated from speaking up and acting with and for them to address the critical needs they face today.
Here is an opportunity to look at chidlren wholistically. Children Welcome! From Stumbling Blocks to Building Blocks of Faith is happening in Kansas City, February 23-25, 2012.This conference is being jointly sponsored by the Office of Child Advocacy of The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
The time will be filled with music, worship, the learning of new skills, theological discussions, Biblical reflections, networking and much, much more. Keynote presenters include Rita Nakashima Brock, Shannon Daley-Harris and Dr. Dianna Wright. Among many Discovery Group presenters are Carol Wehrheim, Martha Bettis Gee, Nancy Eng MacNeill, David Gambrell, Anne Wilson and Joyce Ann Mercer
Registration fee includes an evening banquet and two lunches. The conference location is the Hillside Christian Church, with lodging at the Embassy Suites Hotel Kansas City with a special conference rate of $114 a night. Up to three persons, plus children, can be housed in a room. Childcare is also available.
