  1. actually, in the Sing the Faith Presbyterian hymnal, the song Grace Alone is a beautiful, contemporary affirmation of the day.

  3. It is long, and I, too, lead a small country church in worship each week but I think it's exciting and amazing and interesting and inclusive, too. I'll be using it in its entirety - thank you to all who worked on it or put it together!! I wouldn't use it every Sunday but this Sunday, I think I can make it work...peace to all!

  4. I appreciate what's provided but it isn't very pew-friendly, pretty heavy for a small country church. Would be helpful if the resources included a simple call to worship, prayer etc. rather than an extended litany with many weighty theological concepts throughout.

  5. This material is not particularly helpful. Has the Office of Worship and Thelogy moved away from developing full Reformation services for us to access and make use of ? This means that OWT is leaving the field open to other ideas and resources. Is this the intent? Thank you, Rev. Karen Blatt

  6. It would also be helpful to include A Declaration of Faith in your excerpts from Creeds, etc., for Reformation Sunday. This confession was written by the PCUS and is accessible to all readers.

  7. The idea was to include a brief statement on the church from each of our creeds, catechisms, and confessions (with the exception of the Shorter Catechism, which is lumped in with the Larger Catechism). But it is long, I know. If you come up with a shorter version, please send it along: firstname (dot) lastname (at) pcusa (dot) org. (Forgive the complicated formula: trying to keep the spammers at bay.)

  8. Has anyone cut this down a bit so it isn't so long? I'll do it if no one else has, but don't want to spend the time unless I have to.
