PC(USA) Building Unity and Community

In response to requests for interpretive materials in these present days of tension and division, the Office of the General Assembly has created this downloadable PowerPoint presentation seeking to encourage a sense of unity and community within the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). The PowerPoint presentation includes images and a script that you can use as is or adapt for your particular context. Topics include the theology and polity of unity and oneness, the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the authority of Scripture and the PC(USA), the Confessions and the PC(USA), the new Form of Government, a discussion on ordination standards, mission resources and support and a discussion of "Why I am Presbyterian."

  1. Well, this is all very interesting, but "the proof is in the pudding" is is often said. The GA, The Synod and The Presbytery can say and spew all the propaganda they want and unfortunately some will believe it because they haven't attended GA and Presbytery meeting to see how the conservative side is voted down or some parlementary procedure is put forth to exclude debate. Please explain why there are 5 churches per month electing to leave the PCUSA and why over the past several years the PCUSA membership has been in steady decline. It isn't because you are doing the right thing right by any stretch of the imagination. God will continue to be the leader of His church and the Book of Order will never be superior to the Holy Bible and His Word.
