United States
U.S. Global Ecumenical Liaisons (GELs) equip and accompany mid-councils, congregations, diaspora worshiping communities, and constituents with timely and holistic responses to the pressing emerging needs of local partners. This is accomplished through training, workshops, shared resources, and advocacy support.
U.S. GELs address immediate humanitarian gaps, expanding the table to include those whose voices have historically been pushed aside. With donor support, U.S. GELs connect and bridge mid-councils, mission networks, partners, and constituents to faithful renewal and supportive relationships with immigrant and indigenous communities for more sustainable and dignified global engagement.

Mission networks and partnership networks bring together Presbyterians from around the United States who share a common international mission focus. World Mission-related mission and partnership networks facilitate building and maintaining healthy partnerships and provide a place for representatives of various PC(USA) partnerships to share information, learn from each other, coordinate their efforts and find ways to have greater impact together as a network.
Each mission network or partnership network centers around a specific country, people group, or program area of ministry and is composed of Presbyterians who represent international mission partnerships established through their synods, presbyteries, congregations, or other PC(USA) entities.
The synods are organized into four areas (Synod Areas 1–4). Each area has a designated Global Ecumenical Liaison (GEL) as a first point of contact. Assignments are team-based and will adapt as relationships, needs, and capacity shift; GELs collaborate across areas and may share coverage when helpful. The U.S. GEL team also includes GELs focused on racial-ethnic and Native American ministries across the U.S., Puerto Rico, Alaska, and Hawaii. We will review assignments regularly and update this list as changes occur.
