Confessing the Faith on Trinity Sunday

This Sunday is Trinity Sunday. The lectionary readings include Gen. 1:1--2:4a, in which God's Word ("Let there be light") and Spirit (Heb: ruach, also meaning wind or breath) are present and active at the dawn of creation; 2 Cor. 13:11-13, "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with all of you"; and Matt. 28:16-20, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."

How will your congregation confess the faith this Sunday? That is, what words will you use for the Affirmation of Faith?

I've been working on a new collection of resources -- soon to be available at the Theology and Worship website -- that will provide biblical and confessional resources for various elements in the Service for the Lord's Day and festivals / seasons of the Christian Year.

Beyond the Nicene Creed (traditionally used when the Lord's Supper is celebrated), the Apostles' Creed, and A Brief Statement of Faith -- all of which are structured in a trinitarian format -- here is a sneak preview of some other possibilities from the PC(USA) Book of Confessions:

The website I mentioned will provide full texts of all these confessional readings, ready to copy and paste into printed bulletins and projection for worship.
