The Thoughtful Christian (TTC), an online resource center available through the Presbyterian Publishing Corporation (PPC), has launched 2011 with increased discounts on books available on its website. Discounts range from 35%–75% off the retail price. In 2010, TTC expanded into a fully developed, online marketplace, offering books in addition to its popular downloadable youth, adult, and parent studies. “We hope to provide a helpful way for people to find good books and resources at great prices,” stated Marc Lewis, President and Publisher of Presbyterian Publishing Corporation. “The Thoughtful Christian’s aim is to provide a trusted selection with an everyday low price and good service.”

As the retail arm of the Presbyterian Publishing Corporation (PPC), The Thoughtful Christian is a separate entity from PPC’s book imprints, Westminster John Knox Press and Geneva Press. In fact, the site includes books from many other well-known publishers in religion, spirituality, biblical studies, and contemporary issues. Moreover, on January 17, TTC also unveiled a new blog, Gathering Voices: Faithful Conversations from The Thoughtful Christian, featuring a respected panel of regular bloggers as well as frequent guest voices. The panel of bloggers includes Lynne Baab, Erin Lane Beam, Adam Copeland, Greg Garrett, David Maxwell, Donald K. McKim, Laura Pickrell, and Jana Riess.

Resources from The Thoughtful Christian can be ordered directly through the website or by calling (800) 554-4694.
