Cynthia Bolbach Moderator of the 219th General Assembly (2010) —Danny Bolin

From Gradye Parsons, Stated Clerk of the General Assembly: We have received word that Cindy Bolbach, Moderator of the 219th General Assembly (2010), has been admitted into hospice care for the end stages of her fight with cancer. As we continue in our work and ministries, please keep her and the community who loves her in prayer.

  1. Dear Cindy, As moderator, colleague, and servant of the church, you served us with grace, humor, a guiding and firm hand, offered the love of Christ and hope. I pray that in this Advent time and this time in your life you would find a sustaining grace, something to at which to smile, a guiding and firm hand, love and in and through this all - Hope. Advent Blessing! Graham Hart Peace River Presbytery

  2. Now is the time for us all to embrace Cindy as she so unselfishly embraced us. May she at this time enjoy the awesome inclusive love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in this life and hereafter.

  3. Dear Cindy. I am deeply grateful for your service to God, to our denomination, and to the Church everywhere. Now, in this time when God and we need to serve you, this Scots blessing is my desire for you and those who love you: "Deep peace of the Quiet Earth to you. Deep peace of Flowing Air to you. Deep peace of Shining Stars to you. Deep peace of the Running Wave to you. Deep peace of the Prince of Peace to you" - now and always, here and in all places.

  5. Like so many Presbyterians across our denomination, I have gotten to know Cynthia through her work in our presbyteries and through her guidance to us all as Moderator. She has served the church well and Christ well. She has, with great strength, served with love through illness and health. I have seen God's love shining through her and am proud to call her my sister in the faith. Our prayers extend to you, Cindy. I am not sure I even ever introduced myself to you, Cindy, but I love you deeply. God speed!
