Angela Curry has joined the Presbyterian Foundation as Vice President and General Counsel.
She has advised public and private institutions for nearly 20 years, 15 of those serving as General Counsel. Previously Angela served as General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer for the Hussian College corporate hub in Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to that, she was the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Kentucky State University and Fisk University, where she advised both institutions on regulatory, human resource, and corporate governance matters.
Curry is glad to serve in a position that allows her to practice and explore her faith as part of her work. “I am excited about the opportunity to serve with such a talented team on initiatives that positively impact communities throughout the United States and around the world,” Curry says. “It is an opportunity to serve God in a new way.”
A native of Lexington, Kentucky, Angela earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Spelman College in Atlanta. She received a Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law in Boston, where she was selected as Best Oralist for the Stone Moot Court competition. She is active in several campus ministries and previously served as Teaching Leader for the Lexington, Kentucky, Evening Women’s Class of Bible Study Fellowship.
Angela has been married to Dr. Jason Curry for nearly 25 years. She and Jason are the proud parents of Samuel, twins John and Nia, and Zoey, their spirited black Lab.
