Presbyterian Scholarships for Undergraduates

Presbyterian Scholarships for Undergraduates

Our scholarship application asks students to think about vocation and invites church leaders and mentors to help students recognize their gifts. We serve church members and students preparing for a career in ministry with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). In this work we respond to the anti-poverty and anti-racism priorities set by the agency by administrating need-based aid programs and providing additional aid to people of color through supplemental grants.

Eligible applicants will be PC(USA) church members seeking a first associates or bachelors’ degree, attending an accredited college or university in the United States full-time in 2026-2027.

Range of Awards: $4,000, up to need* and if need remains after the scholarship is awarded, students may be considered for additional supplemental aid, including:

  • $2,000 Supplemental award for People of Color

*The Scholarship for Undergraduates is a need-based scholarship, as determined by the Student Aid Index. If you would like to know more information about need-based aid and the Student Aid Index (SAI), please visit the Federal Student Aid Website here.

Samuel Robinson Award

Samuel Robinson Award

Over 100 years ago, Samuel Robinson boarded a ship bound for the United States with a copy of the Westminister Shorter Catechism to read during his journey. Grounded in faith, he considered the WSC his touchstone and created an endowment to encourage students attending Presbyterian-related colleges and universities to memorize the Westminster Shorter Catechism.

The Samuel Robinson Award is offered to college juniors and seniors attending a Presbyterian-related college or university.

Range of awards: Up to $2,000

Deadline: Quarterly - Third Monday of March, June, September, December

The first step of the application is to register and start recording your progress as you completely memorize the Westminster Shorter Catechism. You will be directed to the next steps once this is completed.
