The 225th General Assembly (2022) created a Commission to Unify the Office of the General Assembly (OGA) and the Presbyterian Mission Agency (PMA) and mandated the Commission to oversee and facilitate the unification of the Office of the General Assembly (OGA) and the Presbyterian Mission Agency (PMA) into a single agency. 

The Unification Commission is pleased to announce that the application process for the first Board of the Unified Agency (permanent name coming soon) is now open. 

Board Description

The description for the Governing Board outlines the board’s purpose – its advisory, support, oversight, and fiduciary responsibilities; its close working relationship with the Stated Clerk of the General Assembly and Executive Director of the Unified Agency (SC/ED); and its partnerships with stakeholders across the church during this ongoing transformation.

A diverse group of faithful, knowledgeable, and committed Presbyterians will be nominated to the 227th GA (2026) by the GA Nominating Committee for election to the new governance board. Applications to be considered for nomination by the GA Nominating Committee to the Governing Board are due by January 12, 2026.
