The April 2026 conference designed to empower female clergy is being offered by the United Methodist Church
Registration is now open for Lead(HER) 2026: Empowering Female Clergy, happening April 20-22, 2026, at Resurrection, a United Methodist Church in Leawood, Kansas.
Lead(HER) brings together female clergy from across denominations for two and a half days of worship, practical skill-building, and authentic community. The expanded 2026 format includes Monday evening through Wednesday afternoon programming, responding to attendee feedback emphasizing the importance of connecting and networking among clergywomen.
"For women, by women. Celebrating women. Healing women. Strengthening and encouraging women in their leadership, their ministry, and their lives,” organizers said of Lead(HER).
Highlights of the conference will include:
Keynote sessionsled by Bishop Dottie Escobedo-Frank, Bishop of the California-Pacific Conference of the United Methodist Church; Karoline Lewis, Professor at Luther Seminary; Beth Allison Barr, Professor at Baylor University; Danielle Strickland, Founder of Boundless Communications; and closing worship with the Rev. Lisa Yebuah, lead pastor of Southeast Raleigh Table.
Fourteen breakout sessions led by the Rev. Dr. Grace Ji-Sun Kim, members of the Commission on the Status and Role of Women, and more address practical ministry challenges: compensation negotiation, leading in difficult contexts, self-defense training, reimagining God, expanding worship language, and sustainable self-care.
Moving worship and community-building with clergywomen serving a variety of church settings and sizes from across the nation through table discussions, intentional networking moments, and dedicated time for authentic connection.

Early Bird pricing of $249 is available through February 16, 2026. After February 16, registration is $299. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available for full participation.
