The following trauma-informed guidelines for Alternative Resolutions in the Church Discipline section of the Book of Order ensure that the process of initiating an alternative resolution, in cases involving sexual misconduct and abuse, is applied in a way that respects and upholds the dignity, safety, and healing of those impacted by harm while maintaining accountability and transparency.
