제 123 편

성전에 올라가는 노래

1   하늘에 계시는 주여 내가 눈을 들어 주께 향하나이다
2   상전의 손을 바라보는 종들의 눈 같이, 여주인의 손을 바라보는 여종의 눈 같이 우리의 눈이 여호와 우리 하나님을 바라보며 우리에게 은혜 베풀어 주시기를 기다리나이다
3   여호와여 우리에게 은혜를 베푸시고 또 은혜를 베푸소서 심한 멸시가 우리에게 넘치나이다
4   안일한 자의 조소와 교만한 자의 멸시가 우리 영혼에 넘치나이다

제 146 편

1   할렐루야 내 영혼아 여호와를 찬양하라
2   나의 생전에 여호와를 찬양하며 나의 평생에 내 하나님을 찬송하리로다
3   귀인들을 의지하지 말며 도울 힘이 없는 인생도 의지하지 말지니
4   그의 호흡이 끊어지면 흙으로 돌아가서 그 날에 그의 생각이 소멸하리로다
5   야곱의 하나님을 자기의 도움으로 삼으며 여호와 자기 하나님에게 자기의 소망을 두는 자는 복이 있도다
6   여호와는 천지와 바다와 그 중의 만물을 지으시며 영원히 진실함을 지키시며
7   억눌린 사람들을 위해 정의로 심판하시며 주린 자들에게 먹을 것을 주시는 이시로다 여호와께서는 갇힌 자들에게 자유를 주시는도다
8   여호와께서 맹인들의 눈을 여시며 여호와께서 비굴한 자들을 일으키시며 여호와께서 의인들을 사랑하시며
9   여호와께서 나그네들을 보호하시며 고아와 과부를 붙드시고 악인들의 길은 굽게 하시는도다
10   시온아 여호와는 영원히 다스리시고 네 하나님은 대대로 통치하시리로다 할렐루야

⁹All who make idols are nothing, and the things they delight in do not profit; their witnesses neither see nor know. And so they will be put to shame. ¹⁰Who would fashion a god or cast an image that can do no good? ¹¹Look, all its devotees shall be put to shame; the artisans too are merely human. Let them all assemble, let them stand up; they shall be terrified, they shall all be put to shame.

¹²The ironsmith fashions it and works it over the coals, shaping it with hammers, and forging it with his strong arm; he becomes hungry and his strength fails, he drinks no water and is faint. ¹³The carpenter stretches a line, marks it out with a stylus, fashions it with planes, and marks it with a compass; he makes it in human form, with human beauty, to be set up in a shrine. ¹⁴He cuts down cedars or chooses a holm tree or an oak and lets it grow strong among the trees of the forest. He plants a cedar and the rain nourishes it. ¹⁵Then it can be used as fuel. Part of it he takes and warms himself; he kindles a fire and bakes bread. Then he makes a god and worships it, makes it a carved image and bows down before it. ¹⁶Half of it he burns in the fire; over this half he roasts meat, eats it and is satisfied. He also warms himself and says, “Ah, I am warm, I can feel the fire!” ¹⁷The rest of it he makes into a god, his idol, bows down to it and worships it; he prays to it and says, “Save me, for you are my god!”

¹⁸They do not know, nor do they comprehend; for their eyes are shut, so that they cannot see, and their minds as well, so that they cannot understand. ¹⁹No one considers, nor is there knowledge or discernment to say, “Half of it I burned in the fire; I also baked bread on its coals, I roasted meat and have eaten. Now shall I make the rest of it an abomination? Shall I fall down before a block of wood?” ²⁰He feeds on ashes; a deluded mind has led him astray, and he cannot save himself or say, “Is not this thing in my right hand a fraud?”

¹⁷Now this I affirm and insist on in the Lord: you must no longer live as the Gentiles live, in the futility of their minds. ¹⁸They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of their ignorance and hardness of heart. ¹⁹They have lost all sensitivity and have abandoned themselves to licentiousness, greedy to practice every kind of impurity. ²⁰That is not the way you learned Christ! ²¹For surely you have heard about him and were taught in him, as truth is in Jesus. ²²You were taught to put away your former way of life, your old self, corrupt and deluded by its lusts, ²³and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, ²⁴and to clothe yourselves with the new self, created according to the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

²⁵So then, putting away falsehood, let all of us speak the truth to our neighbors, for we are members of one another. ²⁶Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, ²⁷and do not make room for the devil. ²⁸Thieves must give up stealing; rather let them labor and work honestly with their own hands, so as to have something to share with the needy. ²⁹Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear. ³⁰And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with which you were marked with a seal for the day of redemption. ³¹Put away from you all bitterness and wrath and anger and wrangling and slander, together with all malice, ³²and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.

^19bThen he went home; ²⁰and the crowd came together again, so that they could not even eat. ²¹When his family heard it, they went out to restrain him, for people were saying, “He has gone out of his mind.” ²²And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebul, and by the ruler of the demons he casts out demons.” ²³And he called them to him, and spoke to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan? ²⁴If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. ²⁵And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. ²⁶And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but his end has come. ²⁷But no one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his property without first tying up the strong man; then indeed the house can be plundered.

²⁸“Truly I tell you, people will be forgiven for their sins and whatever blasphemies they utter; ²⁹but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit can never have forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin” — ³⁰for they had said, “He has an unclean spirit.”

³¹Then his mother and his brothers came; and standing outside, they sent to him and called him. ³²A crowd was sitting around him; and they said to him, “Your mother and your brothers and sisters are outside, asking for you.” ³³And he replied, “Who are my mother and my brothers?” ³⁴And looking at those who sat around him, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! ³⁵Whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.”

제 30 편

다윗의 시, 곧 성전 낙성가

1   여호와여 내가 주를 높일 것은 주께서 나를 끌어내사 내 원수로 하여금 나로 말미암아 기뻐하지 못하게 하심이니이다
2   여호와 내 하나님이여 내가 주께 부르짖으매 나를 고치셨나이다
3   여호와여 주께서 내 영혼을 스올에서 끌어내어 나를 살리사 무덤으로 내려가지 아니하게 하셨나이다
4   주의 성도들아 여호와를 찬송하며 그의 거룩함을 기억하며 감사하라
5   그의 노염은 잠깐이요 그의 은총은 평생이로다 저녁에는 울음이 깃들일지라도 아침에는 기쁨이 오리로다
6   내가 형통할 때에 말하기를 영원히 흔들리지 아니하리라 하였도다
7   여호와여 주의 은혜로 나를 산 같이 굳게 세우셨더니 주의 얼굴을 가리시매 내가 근심하였나이다
8   여호와여 내가 주께 부르짖고 여호와께 간구하기를
9   내가 무덤에 내려갈 때에 나의 피가 무슨 유익이 있으리요 진토가 어떻게 주를 찬송하며 주의 진리를 선포하리이까
10   여호와여 들으시고 내게 은혜를 베푸소서 여호와여 나를 돕는 자가 되소서 하였나이다
11   주께서 나의 슬픔이 변하여 내게 춤이 되게 하시며 나의 베옷을 벗기고 기쁨으로 띠 띠우셨나이다
12   이는 잠잠하지 아니하고 내 영광으로 주를 찬송하게 하심이니 여호와 나의 하나님이여 내가 주께 영원히 감사하리이다

제 86 편

다윗의 기도

1   여호와여 나는 가난하고 궁핍하오니 주의 귀를 기울여 내게 응답하소서
2   나는 경건하오니 내 영혼을 보존하소서 내 주 하나님이여 주를 의지하는 종을 구원하소서
3   주여 내게 은혜를 베푸소서 내가 종일 주께 부르짖나이다
4   주여 내 영혼이 주를 우러러보오니 주여 내 영혼을 기쁘게 하소서
5   주는 선하사 사죄하기를 즐거워하시며 주께 부르짖는 자에게 인자함이 후하심이니이다
6   여호와여 나의 기도에 귀를 기울이시고 내가 간구하는 소리를 들으소서
7   나의 환난 날에 내가 주께 부르짖으리니 주께서 내게 응답하시리이다
8   주여 신들 중에 주와 같은 자 없사오며 주의 행하심과 같은 일도 없나이다
9   주여 주께서 지으신 모든 민족이 와서 주의 앞에 경배하며 주의 이름에 영광을 돌리리이다
10   무릇 주는 위대하사 기이한 일들을 행하시오니 주만이 하나님이시니이다
11   여호와여 주의 도를 내게 가르치소서 내가 주의 진리에 행하오리니 일심으로 주의 이름을 경외하게 하소서
12   주 나의 하나님이여 내가 전심으로 주를 찬송하고 영원토록 주의 이름에 영광을 돌리오리니
13   이는 내게 향하신 주의 인자하심이 크사 내 영혼을 깊은 스올에서 건지셨음이니이다
14   하나님이여 교만한 자들이 일어나 나를 치고 포악한 자의 무리가 내 영혼을 찾았사오며 자기 앞에 주를 두지 아니하였나이다
15   그러나 주여 주는 긍휼히 여기시며 은혜를 베푸시며 노하기를 더디하시며 인자와 진실이 풍성하신 하나님이시오니
16   내게로 돌이키사 내게 은혜를 베푸소서 주의 종에게 힘을 주시고 주의 여종의 아들을 구원하소서
17   은총의 표적을 내게 보이소서 그러면 나를 미워하는 그들이 보고 부끄러워하오리니 여호와여 주는 나를 돕고 위로하시는 이시니이다
